Over the past three years, since introducing both Gala Life and Hawick Life, we have always tried to support local clubs, groups and charities by providing free editorial space and a mention in our Get Out section for their coffee mornings, car boot sales, fettes, fairs and knitting bee’s.
Fundraising can be an arduous task, often dependant on the enthusiasm of those involved and ultimately - the weather.
We are about to change that with our ‘Stick With Us’ campaign!
‘Stick with us’ is based on a very successful American idea, never done in the UK until now. The concept is ingeniously simple -
We have negotiated special offers and discounts from local businesses, the details are printed onto 64 stickers and attached to a handy fold out credit card sized card. The card is then sold by any non profit organisation (like a school, club, organisation or charity) for £10. They get to keep the majority share of the money. Simple, brilliant and amazingly successful fundraising.
It gets better! Everyone want to support their local good causes, but now you can do that and come away with something as well as that feel good factor - a card that will give you a combined value of over £300 in discounts - and that’s not counting the amazing offer of £350 off a wedding venue!!
And it gets better! The person buying the card can buy from whatever group they choose, supporting their cause and boosting their fundraising. So if you have kids at primary school - buy from there and help towards say new computers. You may have kids at a dance class, karate club, football club or wherever - you choose who will benefit from your donation. And, it’s not only kids clubs that can benefit - there are countless adult non profit groups who are also eligible to sell the cards.
